In the second game, a well-rested Talk 'N Text squad demolished a burned out San Miguel Beer team, 129-100, to grab a 1-0 advantage in their own best-of-seven semis showdown.

The long lay-off did not seem to affect the Tropang Texters as they scorched the Beermen in the rainbow territory with 22 three-pointers in for an easy victory.

Renren Ritualo led TNT's scoring barrage with 24 points while Mark Cardona and Jimmy Alapag added 21 and 20 markers respectively. Alapag also had seven assists in the lopsided victory.

Ex-TNT player Anthony Washington paced San Miguel with 29 points which was not enough to lift the Beermen.

San Miguel's quarterfinal hero Dondon Hontiveros was held to just nine points after averaging 27.7 points per game in the three-game series against the Kings.
