MANILA, Philippines—Far third choice Shining Fame, a stayer who enjoyed the benefit of a good start under Jessie B. Guce, darted out front in the backstretch Sunday and went on to win the third leg of the 2008 Triple Crown series over a soggy Santa Ana track in Makati City.
