The Philippine Water Polo team blitzed past Jamaica in its first game at the Second FINA World Men's Water Polo Development Trophy 2009 being held in Kuwait. The Philippine Team beat Jamaica in its first game held Sunday by a score of 9-7. Competition was fierce and Jamaica tried to overtake the Philippines, but in their last-ditch effort during the fourth quarter, the Philippines scored ahead by two points, as they were cheered on by energetic and supportive Filipino workers in the Middle East emirate.
12 teams from various countries like Tunisia, Morocco, Guatemala, Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay, Jamaica, Kuwait, Indonesia, Singapore, Algeria, Kenya, and the Philippines are set go head-to-head to win the coveted Water Polo Championship.
