6 Davao triathletes in Subic competition

{mosimage}DAVAO CITY, Philippines - Six bets from the Triathlon Association of Davao (Triad) will compete in the Subic International Triathlon Competition on Sunday at the Boardwalk Area, Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Olongapo City. Paulo Dino Ouano of Holiday Gym and Spa said he will join Leslie Herrero of Metro Lifestyle Fitness Center and Paul Villocino in the Team A of Sunkist Trihard Team in the inter-club competition. Their team will be reinforced by two triathletes from Manila.

"Though racing as a team, each of us has the chance to grab a medal in our different age group categories," Ouano said.

Triad's Ernesto "Bong" Rivera, marathoner Cossette Plaza and diver master Felina Tadiaman are also seeing action. Rivera is entered in the 55-59 years old category, while Plaza and Tadiaman are the entries in the Olympic distance race.

Ouano said the Subic race is an International Triathlon Union (ITU) and Asia Cup Series event that is officiated by (Triathlon Association of the Philippines (TRAP) and International Technical Officials from Asia under the supervision of ITU and ASTC.
