The 19-year-old Polosan made short work of brawler Kemal Abdurrahmansen of Turkey with the referee stopping the fight 15 seconds into the third round as Polosan relentlessly peppered Kemal with punches and kicks to the face and body. This match in the 67-kg division was so one-sided that Kemal absorbed two mandatory eight counts in the first two rounds. Muay Thai Association of the Philippines President Roberto Valdez discovered Polosan at last year’s Philippine Olympic Festival qualifiers in Cagayan de Oro—Polosan’s first stint as Muay Thai boxer. Polosan and Ricalene Aquino, another first-time internationalist, see action in the finals Saturday. |
