Jennifer Rosales turned in a one-under-par round of 70 on the opening day of the 24th Annual Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic Thursday in Sylvania, Ohio to finish in a logjam of 25 players in 32nd spot.

Dorothy Delasin, meanwhile, shot a one-over 72 and was in No. 73 spot at the end of the first round at the Highland Meadows Golf Club where play had to be suspended for some time due to lightning and rain.

But the day belonged to lovely Paula Creamer who set a new course and tournament record with her amazing eleven-under-par 60. She was five shots ahead of Eun-Hee Ji and Gloria Park who both turned in scores of six-under 65 while Eva Dahloff of Sweden who was on the same flight with Rosales was one shot behind with a 66.

Defending champion Se Ri Pak was eight shots behind the leader with a 3-under 68.

Rosales started off shakily with a bogey on the opening hole but soon settled down with birdies on the 5th and 7th holes to go one-under at the turn. She had another birdie on the 13th and was playing well but a bogey on the final hole took its toll and she finished with a 70, 11 shots behind the leader.
