Pacquiao won't insure fists

Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao, unlike other international celebrities who had their assets insured, is not having his famous fists insured.

Pacquiao said he has not thought of securing an insurance policy for his fists since he believed that God has been watching over them.

"I am not that good but I have faith in God. It is different if you pray and really believe in God," Pacquiao said in a news conference.

In the United States, singer-actress Jennifer Lopez reportedly insured her back side in 2003 while singer Mariah Carey was reported to have insured her legs in 2006 for a nine-digit sum.

Pacquiao said he would rather focus on helping train young boxers for the 2012 Olympics instead of worrying about insurance for his fists.

The boxing hero is in Bacolod for the 2009 Smart National Boxing Amateur Championship.
