Pacquiao may accept 55-45 purse deal

Manny Pacquiao may accept a 55-45 revenue-sharing scheme for his duel with Briton Ricky Hatton on May 2, the Filipino’s close associate, Rex “Wakee” Salud, said Sunday night.

“Manny might consider a 55-45 scheme,” Salud told the Philippine Daily Inquirer Sunday on the phone from Cebu City, where Pacquiao spent the day.

Salud said Pacquiao promoter Bob Arum actually made two offers, including the 52-48 sharing, which Pacquiao rejected Saturday.

The other offer was for Pacquiao to get 55 percent of the revenues generated from the United States and the rest of the world and 45 percent from the income in Britain.
