TNT coach Chot Reyes drew big numbers from import Tiras Wade and Jimmy Alapag for their first win since lording the Philippine Cup finals over Alaska. “I expected to lose the first two games simply because we did not have enough practice,” said Reyes. Wade scored 38 points while Alapag registered 26. “Tonight, I felt more confident because we had a longer time to prepare. I just hope we can sustain this pace come our next game,” Reyes added. Wade also grabbed 14 rebounds for the Tropang Texters, whose next assignment on Saturday is Burger King at the Muntinlupa Sports Center. Jared Dillinger added 13 points while Philippine Cup Finals MVP Mark Cardona and Ali Peek chipped in 12 apiece for TNT. Sta. Lucia trips Gin Kings In the process, the Realtors scored an 80-76 win over the Gin Kings. Anthony Johnson top scored for Sta. Lucia with 30 points and 12 rebounds while Miranda and Marlou Aquino each had 13 for Realtors mentor Boyet Fernandez. Rod Nealy was held to a conference-low 18 points for the Kings. |
