 Import Brian Hamilton dished out a triple-double to help Purefoods Tender Juicy overpower Talk ‘N Text, 131-121, Sunday night in the 2008-09 Motolite-PBA Fiesta Conference at the Araneta Coliseum.Hamilton registered under his name 22 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists, a first triple double since Shell’s Dennis Williams posted 28,11,11 in the 1997 Governor’s Cup. Former MVP James Yap topscored with 33 points including a three point bomber with 1:28 left the game, securing the win for Purefoods. “Part of our pre-game talk was to wear them down because we knew they are still in the hang-over phase,” said Giants mentor Ryan Gregorio who also got 15 markers apiece from Rico Villanueva and new recruit Don Allado. “I have to commend my import. What a performance. To tell you honestly, during our practice, I wasn’t excited but triple-double in his debut game? Things look brighter for us,” he added. |
